5.0 out of 5 stars Theo Klein Service Car Station Review May 6 2012

Durability: 5.0 out of 5 stars    Educational: 5.0 out of 5 stars    Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
We purchased the Service Car Station for our 3-year-old grandson. He is enjoying it a great deal, "fixing" it and then undoing parts. It has held up well and came to us well protected and packaged so it would not be damaged.

The guys in our families are "car" guys, so they are happy to explain how the different parts work and how he can fix them as he plays. The car station not only has provided the grandson a lot of fun, but he and his dad enjoy playing together with it as a common interest.

We are pleased with the pricing, the toy itself, and the immediacy with which it was shipped and arrived through Amazon.

Thank you all!

The Grandmom

3.0 out of 5 stars Headlight does not work Nov. 16 2013

My son absolutely loves this toy, however, one of the headlights does not work. Very disappointing when you spend this much money on something. I am not even sure how to get in touch with the manufacturer as I would like the opportunity to get a replacement part.

UPDATE: I contacted the manufacturer directly and they shipped me a new, working headlight! Very nice to work with.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing Dec 21 2013

Ordered this in November as a Christmas gift. I wish we would have put it together then, instead of waiting, because I would have returned it and looked for something of better quality. There was no clear information on where to install the batteries. The screw heads to all battery compartments are of very poor quality. The headlights do not work. In the ignition, the batteries do not easily make contact, but we finally got them to work. The horn does not work, and when you press on the horn the batteries get extremely hot. I wish toys were made of better quality these days. I still have some of my children's toys from 35 years ago that are still working and in one piece. Doesn't anyone take pride in their products anymore?

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money Jan. 12 2013

I ignored previous reviews and hoped it would rise above expectations. It didn't. My son barely touches the thing and it is really cheaply built. My fault for still buying it after reading the reviews, but still just not a great product.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great concept! March 18 2014

My son loves anything cars! He is 2 1/2 and can already take the car completely apart. He does need a little help putting it back together at this point but finds the challenge exciting. When his father or grandfather are around they identify the parts as it is being disassembled. My only complaint is that the 4 orange pieces at the very top get bend easily because a small child does not see how it clearly fits together (sorry I don't know what piece of the car they are). This, however, does not take way from what else the car has to offer. Great toy!
