Using it for baby food. Like the look of it and will be able to use it still when my son gets older because it's not 'kid-like' in appearance. Good seal. Don't know how long it's supposed to keep food as warm but I've found that it works for up to 4 hours. Would recommend it.

Good capacity, easy to use and clean. Soup is warm after 5 hours but not hot. Chili or something thicker might stay warm longer.

I was looking for a food container that wasn't made of plastic and was convenient - with a thermos, I never have to worry about finding a microwave, and thus packing food is really convenient. As a student, I don't always have access to heating my food. I wanted a thermos with a nice form factor, and thought this shape was a lot more aesthetically pleasing than the Stainless King. I have used drink tumblers from the Thermos Sipp line, and they have insulated extraordinarily well. I was hoping to find more reviews but took the leap and I don't regret it at all! The easiest way to use a steel thermos is to pre-heat it with hot water before use. Then, food will stay at practically the same temperature until you decide to eat it! The food definitely stays hot (and I don't mean lukewarm) for at least a few hours, but I have not tested it for longer. I have not had any problems with leaks, and the thermos design is very simple: one lid with a gasket, and one jar.

The photo on the main page is a bit distorted (at least it was when I purchased it). It looks wider than it is tall. I was imagining a larger opening making it easier to eat directly out of the thermos and being able to put small hot sandwiches perhaps inside.
In fact, it is 5.3" tall and 3.8" wide as I see now in the detail, and the actual mouth opening narrows down to 2.5", which is substantially smaller than I had hoped.
As far as keeping food warm... I tested it by pre-heating it and putting 16oz of boiling water into it. The initial temperature stabilized it at 203 degrees F. After 6 hours in our 67 degree F basement the water was 154 degrees F and 137 degrees after 10 hours. Not bad at all.

I make scrambled eggs with egg whites every morning before work, and I simply add the eggs right from the pan, and eat them at work. Due to my busy schedule, this is my only option, and the eggs are always piping hot and fresh whenever I get a chance to eat them. I also use the sipp water bottle and travel bottle, and all 3 not only work great, but look very sexy also.
