This new approach to self help is written in a friendly, humorous, readable style and provides a different outlook to old problems. The author describes solutions that are easily doable without the distraction of psychobabble.

I love this author. His memoirs are great, I can't put them down. This book had it's funny moments but overall, it wasn't as good as his others. I prefer the glimpses into the author's life and the story telling that he employs in his other books.

I discovered Augusten Burroughs after I saw the movie 'Running with Scissors'. The movie was intriguing so I decided to read the book from which the movie was taken. Now I have read everything Mr. Burroughs has written. His view of life is so acutely correct and honestly communicated to the reader. It is astounding that Mr. Burroughs survived his early life and had the courage to write about it. I have the utmost respect for him.

I normally do not buy or read 'self-help' books, and do not plan to buy any in the future - the only exception would be if Mr. Burroughs writes something along this line again.
