It wasn't what I was expecting. I bought it because it was the most current "greatest hits" CD. It's sort of a mellow version of the songs, though. Which I didn't realize initially. I am still listening to it (despite being disappointed initially), and it's growing on me somewhat.

I've been a musician all my life and a Bon Jovi fan for the almost twenty-five years of the band's life. This Left Feels Right is an outstanding culmination of Jon, Ritchie and the band's work. What they have done here is far more rewarding than a collection of old hits with a new tune tossed in. If you are a real Bon Jovi fan and are not afraid of awesome new takes on old songs, you will love this CD. Look for the live concert DVD version of this... it is fantastic. Great work guys.

I just can't into this album and why would you ruin classic songs by going acoustic? Just tell me. Where is the logic in releasing an unplugged greatest hits album? Can you imagine Metallica or Gun N' Roses released an acoustic greatest hits package. I think not. Classic songs stripped down and unplugged just doesn't make the grade for me.

Bon Jovi is one of the best metal bands of all-time but this album is absolutely the worst album from Bon Jovi.

Avoid this album!!

Loyal fans stay away! This greatest hits version will only be heard in elevators.
I bought the Super Audio version and was expecting a treat when I got home.
At first when I heard Dead or alive I had to check my system settings to see if something was turned off.
When Liv'in on a player started I was litterly liv'in on a player that all these great hits were not of the same watered down acoustics. I was wrong. I had to play the originals just to dump the crap I had just got suckered into.
After Ally McBeal, and now this, Jon Bon Jovi has lost his way.
O'well one for the Ebay pile.

If there were a selection for "0" stars, I would definitely have rated it with that. This is absolutely the WORST rendition of any of these songs, ever. As a Bon Jovi fan for years, I am completely appalled by this fatal monstrosity they call "Greatest Hits With a Twist". The vocals on this album can easily be likened to those of a drunken hobo. Truly tragic, and highly NOT recommended.

This is a great change to the classic songs. I love the new sounds and the easy going style. two or three of the songs I'm not all that crazy about and prefer the original. But I think if you like "Prayer '94" from the Crossroads cd, you'll like this one. A good change.

Bon Jovi released a new album on Tuesday. It's called "This Left Feels Right". For those of you not in the know, it is made up of some of their older songs, pretty much hits, but re-made. mostly acoustic and stripped down and built back up.
Now, there is precident for this. The Cure did "Mixed Up" - taking some of their songs and remixing them, Euro-Club style. Bush did it with Deconstruction, some guy came in and made their bigger songs techno. Some bands just opt to do something different, for artistic liberties. Look at the new Aerosmith record that has been in the works - supposed to be a straight blues record. And then some bands are just looking to change their sound. Now, I can appreciate all of these things. And even if they don't work, the band tried, that is what art is about. Take all of this from the guy who grew up wearing out his copy of Hysteria, but felt that Slang was the best album Def Leppard ever wrote... Also realize that I appreciate new takes on old material. Acoustic guitars playing Pour Some Sugar on Me worked well.
trainwreck. at some point, someone thought it was a good idea. I am amazed it saw record stores shelves. i am having trouble finding redeeming qualities here. I read the reviews on amazon before listening, but didn't want to believe. how could it be that bad....
1. dead or alive. i heard that this was the one track people liked. i wonder what cd they were listening to, because it couldn't have been this one. has this really annoying bass-like thump to it that WON"T STOP! and 2 or 3 times it has a glimpse of full on rock - for about a bar's worth of music, then cuts out as abruptly as it came in.
