Magnificent,
This review is from: Threading The Needle (Paperback)
This is by far Marie's best book. I absolutely loved it. The plot, the background, the inclusion of relevent news. The quilting is always my favourite part but the whole book is a great read. I was sad when it came to an end.

Perfect Summer Read, Especially for Crafters,
By Meg Cox "journalist/author/quilter" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Threading The Needle (Paperback)
I am pretty much addicted to the Cobbled Court novels of Marie Bostwick, and this is a great addition to the series. As a quilter, I especially love reading about the circle of women attached to the quilt shop in a quaint Connecticut town. But what Bostwick has done this time is to reach farther outside that circle, introducing some compelling new characters, and setting her story in the difficult present, ripping one character's story right out of recent headlines. Madelyn Beecher is coming back to her hometown with her tail very much tucked between her legs: her Bernie Madoff-like husband has just been sentenced to jail, and she's got little left beyond her designer wardrobe -- which she must sell to survive -- other than the rundown house where she grew up berated by her mean grandmother. Bostwick writes uplifting, affirming books, which we all need about now, without being maudlin and sappy. Yes, some of her characters are fueled by their religious faith, but there isn't a lot of blatant preaching here. You can certainly read and enjoy this book without reading the three previous books in the series, but after you read this, I promise you will want to. Lucky you! 9 of 9 people found the following review helpful

Great story,
By Storm Goddess Book Reviews & More - Published on Amazon.com
Sometimes returning to your hometown brings you newfound joy and happiness that is unexpected. This is the story that features two women who have done just that. Madolyn and Tessa. They were once good friends, until the early teen years when Tessa turned on Madolyn and said some pretty hurtful things. Madolyn wasn't quite like everyone else, but at her young age had gone through some terrible times and dealt with loss. She needed a friend, and that friend was Tessa. Now, years and years later, the girls are grown and are strong women. Tessa is married and has come back to begin a new dream with her husband, but the economy is taking it's toll. Not just on her business, but her relationship, too. Madolyn comes back reluctantly, because property is left to her, and after her husband is accused of things, it's her chance to escape and start over. Who knew that she and Tessa would have a newfound friendship again? Threading the Needle entwines the two women's lives and they each tell their story. Touching, moving and peaceful, this story weaves it's way into the reader's heart. 7 of 7 people found the following review helpful

I have read all 4 of the books in this series---and each one just keeps getting better. Hope there are many more in the series. The books are so realistic and down to earth, you just want to go to this town and meet these women!
