Beautiful food photography, great recipes and motivating content. However, the book is riddled with typos like all of Brendan Brazier's books. For example, edamame hummus (pg 69) calls for 5 tsp salt - one tsp is more than enough! The Black Bean Chipotle Quesadilla (pg 96) forgets to mention the black beans entirely.

I would hate for new readers to give up trying plant-based eating because the recipes are incomplete. Brendan, please get a better editor for your next book (I will happily do it)!

I love this cookbook. The recipes are inspired by the Thrive Juice Bar in Waterloo, ON. Jonny Karan takes Brendan's philosophies and meal plans and takes them to the next level. I love the Pad Thai and the Almond Butter Cups!

I am surprised by some of the reviews on here. I have found a lot of the food to be excellent and easy to make. Perhaps if you are new to eating plant based and don't cook often, then you may find the recipes to be a ton of work. Plant based eating does take a little bit more time but the benefits far outweigh the few extra minutes that some recipes take. The book tells you what to keep stocked in your pantry, so you will wind up having a lot of the things needed on hand. For those transitioning to a plant based diet there are recipes to help with the transition and some meal plans laid out for you to make it easy. My husband and I have enjoyed a lot of food from this book and I would highly suggest picking up a copy (for the plant based eaters out there). Remember the whole point of eating this way is to enjoy nutrient dense meals, so that means you wont find iceberg lettuce salads in this book. If this is not what you are looking for then don't purchase this book you will be disappointed, but if you are then you will enjoy this book.
