HASH(0x9bbb94a4) out of 5 stars Perfect for Transporting Bikes in CRV May 26 2009
By Penny Pincher - Published on
Verified Purchase
We have a Honda CRV and needed a way to transport bikes. Since the spare tire is mounted on the back of the vehicle it is harder to find a bike rack for it. We don't have a hitch, so it would be very costly to get one installed and then pay for a rack. We bought two sets of the fork mounts and installed them on a 2X6 piece of scrap wood (51 cents at Home Depot) which fits perfectly inside the back of the CRV. Problem solved for not much fuss or money!

HASH(0x9bbb96cc) out of 5 stars Works Great June 21 2008

Ordered three to mount on two wood planks 4-feet long (2x12) and put in back of truck. Transporting three bikes is easy now. Planks offer a very stable mount for the bicycles. Placed two fork mounts on one plank and the third one in the center of the second plank. two bikes face forward and the other back.

HASH(0x9bbb9924) out of 5 stars Great secure fork mount April 23 2011

have mounted three of these inside my SUV for quick, secure mounting...especially good for bike security on long trips...just mount on a wooden base that can be easily and quickly removed when not in use(i.e. a threaded hook with a wing nut makes a great way to secure board in vehicle), and away you go!

HASH(0x9bbb9c60) out of 5 stars Excellent heavy duty bike attachment, can serve as a anchor point in truck bed. July 5 2011

I bought this and the equivalent Yakima mount for my truck. Other than having to fiddle with the mounting for my F150 to be without drilling into the rail system this was super easy to install. Very robustly built, much heavier than the Yakima. The Thule can be used as an additional anchor point for bungee cords in the bed though, which is a small plus for the Thule. Do not buy the ones with the built in lock, it is cheaper to tie down and lock your bike in the bed with a cable lock.

HASH(0x9bbb9eac) out of 5 stars Excellent mount for carrying bikes Feb. 15 2008
By Jaime Ritchie - Published on
The mount works fine, it holds the bikes firmly. I installed them over a carrying cart and over 100 Kmh the bikes kept firmly attached to it.
I strongly recommend the product
