Words like edgy, alternative, and avant-garde seem pretty lame in describing Tim and Eric. Let's just say it will make your bub-bubs bounce. This penultimate season of the off-off-center Adult Swim series with the public access aesthetic delivers more bracing 10-ish-minute blasts of surreal silliness. Each fleeting episode is brimming with WT…Heck moments that defy categorization. Is Tim and Eric for you? Depends. Does the name Tommy Wissou mean anything to you? If so, then the episode in which the auteur behind the cult fave The Room guest stars to direct an ill-fated Pig-Man sketch will be a Very Special Episode indeed. Lending their estimable comic cred to this season are John C. Reilly, Fred Willard, Will Forte, Jonah Hill, Kids in the Haller Scott Thompson, Allan Thicke, and, um, Frank Stallone. Great job in compiling the extras, which include the expected deleted scenes and bloopers as well as the unexpected; footage from Awesomecom 2009; a live version of the song "Brownie Mountain"; a featurette about the creation of the dummy that takes a licking in the "Road Trip" episode; and the self-explanatory "Restaurant Fart." --Donald Liebenson

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Job!, Nov 8 2010

Pretty good overall. Took them way too long to release it, and it would have been nice if they would have done some commentary.

5.0 out of 5 stars Luis Bunuel is wringing his hands with glee in his grave!, July 28 2010

Surreality was never this precise, meaningful, and mainstream! Tim & Eric have finally managed to bring surreal humor to the masses! Sure, some Adult Swim viewers don't take kindly to the lack of animation, but that's no reason for cobby-corns to be flyin' pink now, is it?!

Surreal humor usually requires an intelligence that many just don't have. You don't "get it"=you call it "a dumb show"! It's as simple as that.

1.0 out of 5 stars DVD is useless to me., Oct 28 2010

The DVD is not compatible with my Cinco Video Cube Playback System. The system only works with the Cinco VHS Playback System. How am I supposed to watch DVD's? Cinco is a fine company, but rather short sighted when it comes to modern technolodgy. VHS is dead, and Cinco must get with the times. DVD is in,VHS is out. VHS belongs in the dust bin of history.

5.0 out of 5 stars "When I was a child, there was thought to be nine planets but there are now ninety planets"., Nov 5 2010

"Do you know that when you look at a planet and you see that light, that planet's not even there! That's just a light-- that's just your neighbor shining a flashlight right into your yard looking for 'coons. And he says, "What are you doing in my back yard with that flashlight?" And I told him, "I'm shining-- I'm shining in your window so I can teach your son about the universe." He said, "Get out of my yard! Why are you communicating to my son? Why are you in all black behind my bushes shining a light into my house?" And I said, "I'm teaching your son about the universe! I'm shining a light-- shining a light right in there and exploring his room as he's looking out and exploring the universe. I turn the light off and I see your son go to bed, and I turn the the light back on and I do swirls on his wall like a comet's tail. I do this every night with your son."
