I'll admit, I'm not quite done with the book yet. There is some nice interweaving connections between the stories but I'm a bit disconcerted by some of the lack of attention to the history of the characters. In one story, the Doctor is repeatedly referred to only as "Grandfather" ... even when its the narrator speaking (whose not Susan) ... or the use of the Sonic Screwdriver by characters who never saw the sonic screwdriver ... not that I'm against them saying these things always existed, but they felt contrived in some stories. Still, I'm enjoying the book and looking forward to finishing it. Some characterizations are very well done and embody the Doctor and supporting characters quite well.
