5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent watch for the price Dec 21 2008
By Rich Strauss - Published on Amazon.com
I love this watch. I bought a previous version of it in a department store about 8 years ago. The original watch is still working, but after 8 years of rugged outdoor use the band is almost worn through, the crystal had been scratched quite a bit, and paint is wearing off of the bezel. When it came time to replace the battery I decided to replace the whole watch instead, and was delighted to learn that it was still being sold. The only differences I notice with the new watch are that the band is a lighter shade of brown and it is MUCH easier to advance the date at the end of a month having fewer than 31 days. The face is easily read in the dark with a press of the dial. This is the only watch I wear, and I expect to be wearing it for at least another 8 years.

1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't keep time Mar 18 2013

I may just be a bad watch I received, but it's the first Timex I have ever owned that didn't keep good time. I constantly runs slow about 10 minutes per day.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gave it a lickin' and the watch is still tickin' Sep 3 2011

I bought this watch to replace the exact model that I bought in 2001. The watch I bought in 2001 still works perfectly, but the band finally broke after almost 10 years of use and abuse! The replacement watch has been in service for a little over 6 months so far, and it appears to be just as good as the old one. I bought an extra one for when the replacement breaks or dies. If both new watches last me 10 years each like the first one did, I will be retired and will no longer need to know or even care what time it is anymore :-)
