From Booklist

Gr. 5-9. The fifth book featuring 17-year-old Dawn Rochelle is a page-turner that will captivate readers looking for melodrama. When Dawn was 13 she was diagnosed with leukemia. Now, after nearly three years in remission, she faces another medical crisis--a stroke, which has left her partially paralyzed. The doctors, physical therapists, and occupational therapists are optimistic about her recovery, but Dawn, discouraged by the setback, falls into despair. The effects of her paralysis are impossible to hide, and she's embarrassed by her limp, slurred speech, and lopsided smile. She's also certain that she'll lose her boyfriend. What's best is the depiction of Dawn's turbulent emotions as she faces another tough struggle. Give this to McDaniel's fans, of course, as well as other readers who can handle a good cry. Book Description

Dawn Rochelle looks like any other 17year-old girt, but looks can be deceiving. At the age of 13, Dawn was diagnosed with leukemia. Now almost five years into remission, Dawn's a senior in high school and looking forward to going to college. But her plans are disrupted when she suffers another medical crisis that causes partial paralysis. The doctors are optimistic about her recovery, but Dawn finds herself giving in to despair. At least during remission she could try to forget about her cancer and pretend she was a normal girl. But the effects of the paralysis are impossible to hide from her friends and the boy she cares about. Dawn had thought her bad times were over. Will she be able to find the strength and courage to live again?

5.0 out of 5 stars To Live Again, Sep 6 2003

Alicia Zieman (Chicago, IL USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: To Live Again (Mass Market Paperback)
This book tells what happens to Dawn Rochelle. But to understand this they should read Dawn Rochelle Four Novels. What her principal says, at her high school gradution sums it up, "At 13, she got luekemia. Then she went into remission. But she came out of it. At 14, she had a bone marrow transplant, that put it back in remission. At 17, she had a stroke. Now she is standing before you all, healthy." This is a great book for everyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Love for That We Cannot Express", Mar 24 2004
By
This review is from: To Live Again (Mass Market Paperback)
Before I started reading "To Live Again", I always thought that endings to other book were supposed to end happily ever after. Like the man falls for the women or visa versa. Now I have a whole new perspective of life and I don't take things for granted as often as I use too. I love this book and I recomend that you read this book, too.
