I picked this super audio version of one of the Moody Blues best albums a few months ago while on a trip to the UK. I am pleased to see that it is now available in North America, because if ever a bands music was made to be heard on todays'technology then the Moody Blues work of 1967-72 is surely it.
This is an impressive piece of work anyway, but with the updated sound it is magnificent. Cosmic and pretentious certainly, but remember this was made in 1968 and let your mind float downstream and just enjoy! For me this is the Moodies most laid back effort with the wonderful trippy "Out and In" and the mysterious "Eternity Road" basking in symphonic splendor. Like most of their early albums this one can be enjoyed from start to finish, but what a finish : "Watching and Waiting" a Justin Hayward song to rival "Nights in White Satin" for this song alone give this an extra half star.
The bonus cd is enjoyable but not essential, with a couple of great radio tracks, but it is the original album which delivers the goods; makes you want to increase your credit card limit and buy a better stereo system!!
