Product Description

From Amazon

In her sequel to To Ride a Silver Broomstick, Silver RavenWolf leads us to the next step in craft practice, focusing on intermediate-level magical practices, such as the proper mechanics of circle casting and 10 ways to raise power. However, To Stir a Magick Cauldron is not just a rule book, it is also a candid companion on the road to discovery. Sure, RavenWolf delves into the nitty-gritty of conjuration, but she also encourages us to see the craft as more than a dusty curiosity and reveals how to incorporate our newfound power into our 20th-century lifestyles. --Brian Patterson

5.0 out of 5 stars A good book for the advanced witch, May 26 2003
By
Robin M Goffinet (Richmond, IN United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: To Stir a Magick Cauldron: A Witch's Guide to Casting and Conjuring (Paperback)
This is a very informative book for the intermediate to advanced witch. Very good sequel to To Ride a Silver Broomstick. It pretty much picks up where the first one left off, getting into different areas of interest and more technical stuff. Highly reccomended!

4.0 out of 5 stars a good book for the intermediate beginner, Oct 2 2002
This review is from: To Stir a Magick Cauldron: A Witch's Guide to Casting and Conjuring (Paperback)
I often recommend this series of books to my students, because, despite the cheesy covers, they are an excellent series of primers on modern wicca.

This is the second book in Silver Ravenwolf's series, and like any book, should be taken with a grain of salt. They're not meant to dictate what should and shouldn't be done - they are more of a guide, to point the reader in a good direction, and then run with it. There's lots of practical knowledge in this book, and that's one of the reasons I recommend this whole series. The referential materials are worth the price alone.

This is not a book to just buy and let sit on your shelf. If you've been practicing for a few months, and you'd like to know how to go a little further with your practice, this is an excellent book to read - but it will only help you if you use it as a guide, to give you confidence in your own imagination, your own way of doing things.

5.0 out of 5 stars Once again the Solitary will benefit greatly from this book., Dec 27 1997
This review is from: To Stir a Magick Cauldron: A Witch's Guide to Casting and Conjuring (Paperback)
Please note my review of To Ride a Silver Broomstick by this author. Once again Silver RavenWolf's works have advanced my knowledge and capabilities in our magickal world. In fact, this book is excellant when used as a training guide for the more advanced practitioner. Great Blessings unto Silver RavenWolf for her effort in this book.
