5.0 out of 5 stars quite funny, April 24 2009

My eleven year old son loved this and listened to it for about 6 months. I thought some of the songs were cute although a bit vulgar, and I enjoyed listening to the CD myself.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for kids..., Aug 29 2006

...and by kids, I mean rowdy teenagers such as myself.

There is nothing more fun than singing "I Pulled My Groin" loudly in public with a bunch of your friends. And the in-between-song banter is hilarious! I admit, I sometimes skip over songs like "My Little Cuban Friend", but there are so many favourites, that are instant classics, like "The Hotdog Song", "The Coffee Song", "Wolfe Island Ferry", and "New Car Smell", that this will definitely be one of your top albums of all time.

This is music for anyone, from children to adults, and even teens of all kinds. If you've got a sense of humour, then Arrogant Worms are for you, and this album is a great place to start!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Arrogant Worms live-est album yet!, Sep 19 2005
This review is from: Toast! (Audio CD)
This is great! We like Toast! It's the best live album yet by the Worms, and easily the best album since their last one. New Car Smell and Particleboard are first rate, and the rest of the songs are fully up to par (especially the Golf Song). Special mention should be made of Chris' penny-whistle backing of Trevor's soulful lyrics on Shipwreck Balladeer (practice really does pay off!); and Mike's heart-felt anguish on I Pulled My Groin may well bring tears to your eyes. This album is (not surprisingly) almost exactly like being at a live performance, without the big let-down at the end, when you realize that you have to wait until the next time they come through. This might not be the album to introduce the Worms with (I'd go with Russell's Shorts or Gift-wrapped), as some of the words are a tad unclear on first listen, but it's my family's new favorite.
