The patterns are beautiful and the instruction cards helpful. I would have liked the box and cards to be a couple of inches larger. It is a wonderful way to knit. I would recommend this box to my friends who love to knit and would certainly offer it as a gift

Socks in a box means portability Nov. 3 2010
By Megan Wright - Published on Amazon.com

As a follower of Wendy's blog, I have been waiting for this new release for quite a while. While all the patterns are those previously released in Wendy's prior two books, I love how portable the new pattern cards are. Each card has a great picture of the sock on the front, complete pattern on the inside, and the chart(s) on the back. The small size allows you to grab just the pattern you need and toss it in your knitting bag. No more having to carry the book around or worry about making copies. The technique cards give great information on everything needed to make a pair of toe up socks. I think the price is perfect for the new format, yet low enough to justify buying the patterns again. Overall, I think it's a great format and wish more designers would publish pattern cards.

Toe-Up Socks in a Box Nov. 10 2010
By knitcrazy - Published on Amazon.com

This is an awesome addition to my knitting reference library. I knit almost all my socks from the toe up and having this in an easy and portable format. I have only had it for a few days and I am already finding myself dependent on it wonderful techniques section. My particular favorite is the "Getting the fit" techniques card with the Slip Stitch Heel Sock Template, extremely helpful. What a wonderful way to have the information I need right at my fingertips no matter where I am. "Toe-Up Socks in a Box" will be a permanent part of my knitting bag, as necessary as scissors and a darning needle.

Great learning tool Dec 26 2010

I am a fairly new knitter. I wanted to learn to do socks, so I ordered this set of cards. The present very clearly how to knit socks. The cards are easy to understand, which a fair number of knitting books are not. The patterns are fun and give a wide variety of socks. I really like being able to stick one of the cards in my knitting bag, instead of dragging a book along. The illustrations are colorful and very clear.

Awesome portability!! Nov. 9 2010

My mother bought this for me as a gift and I LOVE it!! It has all my favorite patterns from Wendy's books and they are small enough to take with me. I like that they are thicker cardstock so they will not blow away if I take them out in the car while waiting for kids. Thanks so much for making this set available!!
