There are many other worthy books in the Penguin English Photoopiable series, and by the same author, but this is o limited use to most English teachers. This book is meant to bring humour into the ESL class, and it has many activities dealing with puns, ridles, jokes, and humorous stories, some requiring specific knowledge of British terms and situations. I have tried a couple of them with my Korean university students, and even after extensive explanation, they didn't see the humour in most of the jokes. It is very difficult to "get" jokes in another language, and in my opinion, this book fails to make them very accessible to ESL students. I would rather recommend a teacher use comic strips or Reader's Digest anecdotes in class.
