If you like Buffy, Firefly, Doctor Who, Xena, Highlander...you will probably love Torchwood. It's quirky, sexy, slightly violent, funny, tragic...and despite the fact that it's science fiction, realistic (at least in terms of it's characters and their reactions). The only flaw (for me) is that Captain Jack is too lenient as a boss. That one small failing aside, I absolutely loved this.
Not for the narrow-minded!

Gotta love Captain Jack ... season two moves right into high gear. This is a wonderfully realized series. You care about the characters and you are swept into the storylines. This may be the best sci-fi series ever conceptualized. Kudos to all.

Totally British in it's storyline, character and imagination. Such a wonderfully fresh breath of air! No blood & guts, car chases or gas can explosions to keep the simple minded awake. This one you need to have some IQ level and pay attention. You will be rewarded!! Some say this is an adult Dr Who. Perhaps. But it is a wonderfully imaginative, suspenseful adventure with characters you get (quickly) to know and like. It's not one of the U.K.'s highest rated shows for nothing. Highly recommended.
