I have many Kathy Smith DVD's. Some better than others but this is my absolute favourite workout. It is an excellent head to toe workout. Well thought out and put together. If you want a super toned, sexy body from head to toe, this work out is for you especially if you want to target your gluts and legs.
You can tackle this workout even if you are a beginner and if you are already in shape I can guarantee you that you will still be challenged and you will still get a great workout. I have been doing this workout for a month and I am still so sore for 1 - 2 days after even though I am doing other workouts all week (3 days spin, 2 days either pilates, isometrics or free weights, plus walking the dogs every day).
When I did the video the first time and started with the upper body portion, the people in the video were using 2lb weights. I laughed and thought that was lame. Well I tell you, even though I am already in shape, I had to put the 2lb weights down halfway through each exercise and use no weights at all!
Kathy is definitely not too overly chipper in this video which is a nice change.
If you are serious about getting into shape this workout is for you. It is a healthy mix of resistance and isometrics training focusing on burn to failure.
Oh how you will be sore but a good sore!
