Product Description

Charlize "Charlie" Edwards certainly knows, in theory, what it takes to lead a successful and happy life. She owns a nice house in Silverlake, LA's trendiest neighborhood. She has glamorous and loyal friends who accompany her to the hottest clubs in town. And she works as the personal assistant to Drew Stanton, Hollywood's sexiest movie star. But she's also turning 30, chronically single, and faced with serving as maid of honor at her younger sister's wedding. Charlie finds herself struggling to juggle the chaos of wedding planning (while wondering if she'll ever wear the white dress herself), her all-consuming job for lunatic boss Stanton, and a serious crush on Jordan, a photographer on the set of Drew's latest feature--a man who might actually return her feelings. A page-turner from start to finish, A Total Waste of Makeup puts a fresh face on women's fiction.

4.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining, Feb 19 2012
This review is from: A Total Waste of Makeup (Paperback)
This a funny chic lit book. It is well written and captivating. Whether young or old I think women can identify with this character as we have all been there at one point or another. I just don't think the swearing in the book is necessary. Would have been just as good without it.A Total Waste of Makeup

5.0 out of 5 stars Laugh out loud!, Jan 7 2008

I am not a "chick-lit" reader. At all. I happened to see this book on sale and bought it on a whim. I should act on my whims more often.

This is a witty, charming and truly entertaining read. I loved every minute of it. I found myself laughing out loud throughout the book...running into the other room every five minutes to let my roommate in on the joke. I think she hates me now (but she'll read the book, so my job is done!). Definitely buy this book. You won't regret it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable.., May 10 2011
This review is from: A Total Waste of Makeup (Paperback)
I read Miserry Loves Caberet first not knowing that these books were linked together. I wish I would have known that first. So I read the 2nd book first and the first book second lol..But I did enjoy them both. My favorite character of the book has to be the boss of Charlie..These are amazing reads I recommend them both. Hoping they come out with another one soon :)

If you like Sophie Kinsella and Candice Bunshnell then you will love these :)
