I wish I could give this product a high mark but unfortunately I can't. When I got the product (the first time) it had a crack in it. It appeared that the food-safe glue (they mention in their ads) had failed where two pieces of bamboo were laminated together. So I ordered another and the second time, I found that a previous crack had been poorly fixed at the factory.
I returned the second one too. I don't know how long they would have lasted before falling apart.
I suspect that while this glue is food-safe, it's not strong enough to laminate these thin pieces; the board is also very heavy. While I like environmentally sound choice of using bamboo I simply can't recommend this particular product.

The board itself is very sturdy, beveled nicely, and very smooth. Bamboo is an excellent choice for this product.
The first one I received had a large split on a seam down the middle, but I was very impressed with how quickly they replaced it (got it the day after I submitted my complaint). The replacement peel also had a few minor splits along some glue seams, but not nearly as extreme as the one on the first peel. Ultimately, I'm OK with those minor splits as the overall integrity isn't affected. Either the glue used to hold the bamboo together during manufacturing is faulty, or it can't hold up to below-freezing temperatures during shipping (this was shipped to Winnipeg in the winter).

I purchased the bamboo pizza peel for my husband for Christmas. He makes his own pizza and wanted a peel for placing the pizza in the oven. This is a very good product and suits our needs very well.

Excellent Product

Pizza Peel
I love this Pizza Peel. It turned out better then expected. I would purchase this again. Just dont use flower use corn meal and it will slide off more easy.
