With how fickle and youth-oriented the music biz is lately I'm sure more than a few people thought Toto were stuck in the Land of Oz (apologies for the bad pun) but despite releasing 5 albums in the past 8 years and just finishing a very successful tour, the band broke up two weeks ago so the release of this concert DVD was almost prophetic as an unofficial farewell tour. Toto was around for 31 years and despite numerous line-up changes, founding member Steve Lukather kept rolling along, releasing well over a dozen albums throughout their career with sales over 30 million and scoring 9 top 40 hits.
This concert clocks in well over 2 hours and includes a number of songs from the band’s last album "Falling In Between", with "Bottom Of Your Soul" being the most familiar. When you watch this concert, it becomes obvious very quickly why Eddie Van Halen said this band had the best musicians in the world, as a unit they were amazingly tight and talented.
Even though the majority of the band's biggest hits would nowadays be considered Adult Contemporary, they certainly can rock, as "Hold The Line" and "I'll Supply The Love" point out loud and clear. Speaking of hits, the biggest ones are included here; their performance of "Africa" and "Pamela" are album-perfect and for variety sake "Rosanna" is presented in a much jazzier version than the original. It's pretty cool at that. The DVD has excellent sound and video quality, and there are 20 songs captured live, and again it really is an eye-opener to see and hear just how hard Toto can rock. Interview clips with the band members are included as a bonus feature.

What a spectacular dvd. This performance is full of energy and the songs are all great. I wasn't a big fan till now. The band is having a great time on stage and you can see it. Everything about this dvd is first class, you would be stupid not to buy it. Great job guys, not to many dvd's like this out there. She's a keeper!!!

Remember Toto from the 1980s? Forget your (North American) bias, and discover what folks in Europe and Asia have known all along: under the leadership of the highly gifted Steve Lukather, Toto is one incredible band that plays some very cool music. This is one of the very few DVDs I have that's hard to choose only a couple of "favourite" songs: they're almost all good! Of course, you'll get great renditions of hits like Africa and Rosanna, but it doesn't end there: check out the amazing Bottom of Your Soul and Gift of Faith. Yes it's true: the surround sound is top notch with a mix that few others can match.

Given the choice, I think this is the better DVD compared to the 25th Anniversary show from Amsterdam. Let's hope Toto tours again, this time making stops in Canada too.

I just watched this concert on a music TV station that I subscibe to. All I can say is, if you don't own this DVD, buy it! I just put my order in. I own more than two hundred music videos and this ranks with the best. What a great bunch of musicians and the sound and picture quality are superb. Watch for Leland Sklar on bass. One of the best.
