I bought this for my 1 year old and she loved it, 4 months old I am beginning to find it a little basic, but anything that lasts for a few months at this age is good I think!!

This is one of the better "Touch and Feel" books. Like all of the books in the series, the book contains different textures like "scales" for the fish and fur for the dog. My daughter loved the photographs of the recognizable animals. Reading this book also facilitated her speech, as she was soon able to say the animal names.

My kids have loved the touch and feel books and they have held up remarkably well to the demand of two young boys! Now ages 2 & 4, these books are still high on their lists of fun books to look through when we ask them to pick short stories at bedtime. They love the textures in the books and the photographs (instead of lifelike drawings). Over the years, these books have stood the entertainment test at our house!
