About the Author

Susan Joy Paul has hiked, climbed, snowshoed, rappelled, and—at times when the winds above 14,000 feet were screaming—crawled across the state of Colorado, reaching the summits of more than 500 mountain peaks along the way. All that adventure takes a toll on the mind, body, and spirit, and in Touring Colorado Hot Springs, Susan takes a break to relax and share the secrets of the ultimate refresher, rejuvenator, and revitalizer to counterpoint the extreme outdoor activities enjoyed by her, other locals, and visitors to the state.

4.0 out of 5 stars I nice travel guide to hot springs in Colorado April 23 2013
By Jeffrey Keeton - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This is a handy guide. The author has obviously spent a lot of diligence collecting information about the springs as well local history and what else is nearby. Because many of the springs are located in the wilderness, their conditions wil change from year to year. However, the author has done a nice job explaining what you can expect to find.

4.0 out of 5 stars Handy guildebook for our family trip March 28 2013
By Mark Carlson - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
We used this book on our recent Spring Break tour of a few of Colorado's hot springs. Since this was a family trip, the information about which hot springs were family-friendly and which were clothing optional after dark came in very handy. For this trip we only visited a handful of springs in one region of the state, but look forward to using it again in the summer in the Four Corners area.

I had a version of this book in the 80's. This version reminds me of the places I haven't visited in a long time. It's worth the purchase to get you to some fabulous springs.

This book has many earmarks on it already. I really like how Susan includes the temperatures, mineral content, and local activities. Plus the format is very easy to read, and the content is unbeatable!
