Love blossoms, neuroses are zapped and an 11th-hour discovery saves the day. If it sounds formulaic, it is, but it's also terrifically written; Cohen's affinity for her nut-job characters is infectious and will keep readers involved as the plot reaches its peachy end. (May)

Even his work as a color consultant--he has been tinkering for years with a formula for the perfect white--is failing to provide the funds he so desperately needs. His only hope is the charming but hopelessly inept realtor assigned to sell the house. With the help of the little girl next door, whose dream is to become an Olympic skater, Jack suddenly finds himself motivated to face his greatest fear--stepping outside of his house. This book was a fantastic read and I highly recommend it. It's been some time since I've enjoyed a book this much and didn't want it to end. I completely fell in love with the neurotic characters... with all their flaws and idiosyncrasies... they were amazigly real and wonderful.Thank you Tish Cohen for creating such a clever and endearing piece of literature!!!

Shag carpeted ceilings, the search for the perfect kitchen white, rock 'n' roll, and the detailed musings of an agoraphobic single dad trapped in The Townhouse he's being forced to sell. This is irresistible! Trish Cohon's created a sweet menagerie of utterly original personalities. They're all richly alive, utterly recognizable. When I put the book down, I smiled.

Awesome! A great book! I just turned the last page and am ready to flip to cover and start over again.Tish Cohen's book, Town House, is one of the best books I have read in a very long time. The characters are hilarious, endearing, and real. Town House is an amusing, sensitive, frank look at one man's struggle with the harsh realities of life, yet the entire time I was reading I felt uplifted, encouraged, and completely entertained. The characters Cohen created came to life for me, and I looked forward to spending time with them every day. This is one of those rare books that left me sad when I finished because I won't being seeing my friends anymore...well, at least not until the movie comes out - I can't wait. Any fan of John Irving's or Anne Tyler's will quickly become a fan of Tish Cohen's! This is a must read.
