5.0 out of 5 stars Traditional Plant Foods of Canadian Indeigenous peoples, 1991, Feb 9 2011
Ce commentaire est de: Traditional Plant Foods of Canadian Indigenous Peoples: Nutrition, Botany and Use (Hardcover)
There is rarely a book which documents in such detail, the ancestral dietary choices of indigenous peoples. As we move forward in redefining agriculture, we can't help but look at the methods (permaculture)which proved most successful in feeding peoples while keeping the natural environment's integrity. We have moved so far off the path, it is refreshing to see how mother earth, through it's thousands of plant species, took care of it's other species including humans. The elders have most of the knowledge. The younger generations for various reasons are not up to the task. A must have.
