Trail Guide to the Body is an invaluable resource for any massage therapist or body-worker wanting to know the intricacies of the body, and the correlation of the muscles and bones. The illustrations are incredible, showing wonderful detail. Written information is concise, informative, and thoroughly presented. Muscles include such information as: the action, insertion, origin, and nerves. Palpation is also shown along with instructions on "how-to".
The authors have also recently released flash cards for the muscles and another set for the bones. I absolutely loved them and carried them around with to study.
Awesome book! Great reference and one book that I refer to time and time again!

This is a practical book that explains in clear and simple language the location and function of muscles and bones. Also explains how to find them on palpation. Also gives good summaries on muscles involved in each action, which helps with revision. Very useful for me (massage therapist). I recommend this for those wanting a good, basic understanding of muscles and functions.

Overall I really like this book. I used it in my first year physiotherapy course (Surface Anatomy), and it was really useful in locating many structures. I just wish that the DVD had more structures included.

I am finding this book to be a great way to visualize what muscles work in which way.
It was suggested to me in the context of my Yoga Tune-Up teacher Level 1 training and I am happy I now own a copy of it

I find this text very helpful for learning muscle origin, insertion, nerve, and action. It's wonderful for palpations. I would recommend this text to any student RMT.

As a student of manual healing therapies I found the trail guide to the human body an essetial companion to my studies. Easy to look up glossary and detailed but simple images that highlight in depth what you need to know. Perfect for simple or complex education of the muscular and skeletal system. I love that it covers planes and directions and the cd makes it a must have! The graphics on the cd are again simple but wonderful. Highlights the muscle/bone being addressed over the client as he works. Must have.

Iam a massage therapy student and this book is perfect!! The diagrams are very helpful and show how to palate each muscle which has helped me a lot. The video that comes with the book is a great bonus!
Also very fast delivery. My book came in 3 days, way earlier than I has expected. I'd recommend this book to anyone going through massage school!

This is simply one of the best Anatomy books out there for anyone who does any kind of bodywork. It is technically a great resource and an exceptional learning tool. This is one book you should have on your shelf.
