My favorite of the excellent series. NOT DANCE MUSIC with the exception of track 1. NOT TRANCE TECHNO. This is primarily very mellow ambient style international music.
Produced by KCRW's Tom Schnabel, who brings us the nightly electronic/dance Cafe LA show, this series explores the mellow side of world music. A great starting point for those who are looking beyond Afropop and trendy beatbox treated international artists.

This CD is a favorite of mine... It has a great flow to it, with some stellar tracks. I currently own Vols. 2,3 and 5, and two of my favorite tracks in the series (A Cool Wind is Blowing by Djivan Gasparyan and Lovelorn by Iky Levy) are on this CD. They are two of the most heart-wrenching, beautiful instrumentals I have ever heard.
I do massage to this CD and half the benefit of the massage is listening to this music!
Buy it!

I first heard this CD in Cancun at LA Boom. I could not stop dancing. The beats kept me dancing all night as the rythm put me into another world. If you are a rookie Tekno fan or an addict like me, I highly recomend picking this C.D. up.
