Album Description

Linkin Park's single 'Iridescent', will be featured as the end title song in Paramount Pictures' upcoming Michael Bay film, Transformers:Dark Of The Moon. The third instalment of the blockbuster Transformers series opens worldwide July 1, 2011. When Michael Bay heard 'Iridescent', he thought it was a perfect fit for the sensibility of the film. "The first two songs were huge hits and I have no doubt that this new song will be equally as successful," Bay said. Added Transformers film composer, Steve Jablonsky, "Michael and I respond to Linkin Park because they have a cinematic sensibility to their music that translates to the big screen."

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome rock album, Sep 15 2011
By Meredith Klein "Ms. Mer" - Published on Amazon.com

The Transformers albums have all had a mellow rock feel to them, something that I really enjoyed. I was a bit apprehensive about this one after scanning the artists, but I am so glad I purchased it. The album maintains the mellow rock feeling that the previous two have and moreover, there are several songs that I had previously heard on the radio that I had no idea were on the album. of course the iconic Goo Goo Dolls have their very own song as they have in the other 2, but just like those, it is beautiful.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not one bad song, July 12 2011

I like all the songs on this CD. The other two Transformers soundtracks have a song or two that I just have to skip, but not this one. My only wish is, that only one version with all the songs had been released, instead of three different ones. Other than not having all the songs, it's not a bad soundtrack.
