Product Description

From School Library Journal

Grade 6 Up–Fallen Star begins slowly and never really takes off. Much like the cartoon, this digest-sized comic includes themes seen frequently in sci-fi comics, such as deception and good vs. evil. The problem with the story is that the characters just dont have the mystery and depth of comic-book heroes, and the story doesnt have anything unique to say as a result of it. The black-and-white illustrations lack energy; they make the scenes look as dull as the story. Its been 20 years since Transformers were first introduced, and this book proves theyve aged poorly over time.–Scott La Counte, Anaheim Public Library, CA
