Having never seen this show in hi-def before I was unsure whether to get this set on DVD or Blu-ray, because I figured that it didn't really make any difference. How wrong was I?!

I got the Bluray set and I was amazed at the level of detail that the show creators had put into it. You can see all the minor nicks and scratches in the Bot's paint, they even have that metallic "sparkle" that real metallic paint has!
I was also totally unaware that the character Airachnid actually has compound eyes like an insect!

If you have no other choice get this set on DVD; but if you can, DEFINITELY get it on Blu-ray! Hi-def is how this show was produced and that is how it is meant to be seen.
Either way just get it!

Also the comic that is included with the Blu-ray set (not with the DVD) is pretty cool. It's a pocket sized trade paperback of a miniseries put out by IDW a few years ago chronicling how Arcee and Cliffjumper got to Earth, and the first few days they spent here.
It's really worth a read as it gives Cliffjumper some decent characterization that he doesn't get in the show. I won't spoil it here, but suffice it to say, if you've already seen the show you already know why, and if you haven't you'll understand what I mean VERY quickly!

I bought this because I wanted to see what all the fuss was about with this new series. While the 3D animation isn't nearly as fluid or crisp as Beast Wars (funny how a 15 year old show can top "modern technology") the storyline and voice actors were excellent (yay for the original Prime & Megs!), and it was unexpectedly dark for a modern kids show, so I enjoyed it that much more. Always bugged me when they had to toss humans into the TF series, but at least this time it was in much more moderation then some of the other series. If your a TF fan, it's definitely worth a watch.

This was a present for my nephews for Christmas that I highly recommended. It's all the rage for kids to watch. Good storyline, struggles, issues that will impact the kids of today. Hard hitting action that will satisfy the hunger for the fight and touching moments that will make you stop and remember. Graphics and animation that will stun the senses.

The best Transformers show ever, bar none: good story, good characters, and you eventually get used to the CG :). It's nice to see a Transformers show with a running plot, rather than episodic "monster-of-the-week" plots hatched by Megatron that are then foiled by the Autobots.

If you have not seen this new series yet, you need to.. NOW! G1 fans will LOVE this series in what is probably the best series of the Transformers story. Far better than the terrible movies by Michael Bay!
