This book is very colorful and very entertaining. This would rate about a level 2 reader for kids.

4.0 out of 5 stars Colorful and easy-to-understand for young kids Mar 19 2011

This book covers the part of the movie where Sam got the grade and Dad took him to shop for an used car. It ends at the rest of Autobots, lead by Optimus Prime, arrived on earth. The book has 11 double-sided pages with colorful pictures and 2-5 sentences to go with each picture.

This book is a Level 2 book, where kids 4 - 6 can follow. Now why would a young kid be interested in this book? Despite the movie being PG-13, I'll say good 50% of it is fine for kids of these age if the parent can control the scenes. And for kids just loving Bumble Bee, this book provides a real training-to-read opportunity as incentive is there for the young ones.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun, but cheap Jan 22 2010

My grandsons love this book because it's about Transformers. The graphics and storyline are good, but it is cheaply constructed. Several pages fell out the first time we read the book. Easy to fix (is only held together with 2 staples down the center), but they continued to fall out from time to time. Finally reinforced it with some tape and sewed the center seam and it is holding together nicely now. The boys love to read it and look at the pictures.
