I highly recommend this short story about Ferdinand Magellan. It's a smaller book but is packed with lots of knowledge and history without being dry at all. I felt the author was fair and just in their portrayal of all the incidents in his life, unlike many history books which have a tendency to be one-sided. Good illustrations, small size make it very "approachable" to kids no matter the reading level. Great book!
