Tony Aspler is the most widely-read wine writer in Canada. He is the editor of Winetidings Magazine and has been the wine columnist for The Toronto Star since 1980. As a consultant and wine judge, he makes frequent trips to the vineyards and wine fairs throughout the world and is a member of the North American Advisory Board of the Institute of Masters of Wine. He is also a novelist whose nine books include the Ezra Brant wine murder mysteries: Blood is Thicker Than Beaujolais, The Beast of Barbaresco, and Death on the Douro.
