I bought this for my mac book pro since it only has 2 USB inputs. I currently have a mouse, Akai APC 40, Yamaha DGX 620 all running at same time working without any noticeable latency. It would be interesting to see if I could have all that running as well as my portable hard drive without any issues. Another thing I am doing is having this Hub plugged into the left input as I have my M-Audio audio interface plugged into the right USB input as I have read that the right input has more power to offer.
It is nice and small, but as its name implies, it is indeed very light. I tried having it standing up as it is displayed on amazon, but decided it is better if I have it sideways. There is a square shape on the side that allows you to slide and lock it into the base so that it is laying horizontally instead of vertically. Seemed to add a bit more stability, but it still kinda lifts up a bit.
When plugging in USB cables it doesn't feel as smooth as the inputs on my mac book pro, but I don't really know if that is something to be concerned about.
At first I thought it was odd to have the power adapter input and USB output on the same side as the USB inputs, but doesn't seem to be causing any issues yet.
Overall I am happy with it so far.
