The 40 Years' War (1912-1953) interests me, not least because my family was so intimately involved in it. I am scheduled to review for my book club Sofka Zinovieff's book about Lord Berners, the Mad Boy and their entourage. One was taught that Berners, being a dilletante, was not good at anything. In fact, Berners was better at most things than his vicious, envious rivals, most of whom were forced by material necessity to be in trade.

The music is good. Upbeat. It makes me want to skip along to it. I bought this CD simply to serve as an intro to my book review, but it is now on my "replay" shelf.
