"Trodin On" is the first album of gentleman! because he was not as practised as now he collaborated with some german musicians.although his other albums that were published 2003 and 2005 are much better, trodin on is a good reggae album! I just can reemphasise: his albums "Journey to Jah"(2003) and especially "Confidence"(2004) are masterpieces! Gentleman cd's are hard to find because he is from GERMANY.....this album reminds me back to 99....haven't listen to it for years......but i just discovered "journey to jah" and i like it a lot. way better than this one.....but still this one is worth to check out!

gentleman is a bonafide super star in the reggae world.his lyrics are consicous and uplifting, his melody is solid, and his latest album, CONFIDENCE.. which has 20 SONGS..no fillers..is by far one of greatest reggae release last year. trodin on is is 2nd album, if you were to get his albums, get Confidence, then Journey to Jah, then Trodin ON you will NOT be dissapointed. everyone sings, with him, from morgan heritage, capleton, anthony B, Ras shiloh, to luciano and barrington levy. can't wait for his 4th album, you can sample his 1st and 3rd album using real audio at aloha2go.com for samples.. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful

After looking all over for either album by Genteman I finally found this one. I like Journey to Jah better but both albums are some of the best reggae I've heard in a long time. This album has a much more hip-hop feel to it than Journey to Jah. Much different than the usual dancehall reggae, and much better. Hopefully his music will be easier to come by in the USA. I highly reccomend either album by him.

Yeah, I found this cd in my searching for more music from there 2001 cd, Journey To Jah (which is for anyone who likes reggea thats not like what the stereotypical reggea sounds. It's for the younger listeners I feel and almost like rap but not. I got this album along with a live one and there newest one. All of which are worth a purchase, or a download because there very hard to find.
