Product Description

Desperate to escape her abusive marriage, Lilly Crawford files for divorce, then slips away from her small east Texas hometown with little more than the clothes on her back. She points her twelve-year-old car east, hoping to find a new beginning. When her car breaks down in Louisiana, Lilly finds unexpected employment as the caregiver for a wealthy neurosurgeon named Adam Wakefield, who lost his sight in a recent carjacking. At first, this handsome, brooding man reminds her too much of the angry husband she left behind and she reminds him of how far he has fallen from the self-assured man he once was. But as the two spend long days together, an unexpected bond develops&mdash-one that will be deeply tested. For Lilly must confront her violent husband before she can ever hope to move on and truly discover a second chance at life and love. This stunning story is gripping and unforgettable tale told with Francis Ray's trademark emotion and passion.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good the second time around, Mar 3 2004
If you have read the book "The Turning Point" by this author, then this is the "exact" same book, only with a title change. If you haven't gotten Someone's knocking at my Door, then pick this one up. It gives the story of Adam's sister and her struggles with love. As usual, Francis Ray's stories are well written, and continue to be entertaining, I am looking forward to what's next to come.

5.0 out of 5 stars Never underestimate the power of love!, Feb 2 2004
By Bridgett Gibson (Indianapolis, In) - See all my reviews
I loved this book. Lilly was a strong woman, much stronger then she thought. She had to be to deal with Adam. But with a lot of TLC, and patience Lilly and Adam found something they both needed desperately, she, love and tenderness, he, the undying love of a good woman. Even with a new title,(the other title is Turning Point) which is also fitting, it is a great read.
