Product Description

The author's "principle of the strongest link" provides the basis in this text for a critique of contemporary macroeconomics and its obsession with formalism. The text provides a rigorous methodological assessment of the New Classical and New Keynesian approaches and their failings.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unlike every other economic book you've ever read, Oct 10 2011
By Robert Kirk - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Truth Versus Precision in Economics (Paperback)
This is a strange book.. A book about the business of economics. It is not a book explaining what economics is about rather it explains the schools of economic thought, the reason why economists write papers and overall industry of economics. He explains that in order for economics to be more highly respected, it must get better at the basics (including the quality of the writing). In summary, if you really love economics and want to look at it from a much different angle, this book is a joy.
