Helpful techniques for health-conscious parents, April 21 2001
This review is from: Tui Na Massage for a Healthier, Brighter Child (Paperback)
This book presents massage techniques for a variety of common childhood complaints (colic, teething, cough, and so forth) and I was amazed to find something so simple to be so effective! As a society, we tend to run to the medicine cabinet for every little thing that's not right, and our "experts" (and advertisers) reinforce that; but Ms. Mercati offers simple, easy-to-implement suggestions that seem to provide relief of common ailments (at least for my kids). The book is laid out well and information is easily accessible, with clear illustrations and well-written instructions. This would even make a nice baby shower present for a new mom. A parent's loving touch is healing in and of itself, but this book makes yours more so.

An Acupuncturist's opinion, Feb 17 2009
By Inger Giffin "Wisdom Ways Kitchen" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Tui Na Massage for a Healthier, Brighter Child (Paperback)
I have this book and love it! It is not only great for Acupuncturists, but perfect for the layperson who just has kids and wants to know how you can treat common ailments at home through gentle "massage" techniques along therapeutic areas of the body. It is clear enough to be used by an untrained person, yet thorough enough to give clear guidance for treating everything from the common cold, night crying, anxiety; to simply just boosting the immune system and energy levels. You can easily create a 10 minute nightly regimen to do with your kids as you put them to bed, as a great bonding activity and relaxing transition that over time will contribute to strong health.
