5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, Jan 20 1998
This review is from: Tunnelvision (Mass Market Paperback)
Not being interested in horror books I was reluctent to read this at first. A friend suggested this saying it was one of the best books he'd ever read. I decided to read it and soon agreed with that statement. It you can get a copy of this title, I think you will find it's worth the search.

4.0 out of 5 stars Like riding a roller coaster, Nov 3 2005
By L. Maynard - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Tunnelvision (Mass Market Paperback)
This is the first book I have read by Gates. I will definitely be looking for all his other books. This was a really good story, filled with suspense and horror. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating was because at times, it was hard to follow.

The police are receiving video tapes of horrifying, stomach turning murders. They find the bodies shortly after each video tape, but don't have a clue where to start looking. Bill Gage, an ex-detective with a knack for getting into the mind and soul of a depraved killer is called out of retirement to help solve the crimes. Bill has some baggage he needs to get rid of also. I don't want to say too much and spoil the fun, but you really need to fine a copy of the book, pour yourself a nice big mug of your favorite drink, sit back and enjoy the ride. You won't regret it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tunnelvision, Dec 16 2005

This was definately a good 'read.' All of the detail was great. The only parts that I didnt really like was being inside the mind of the killer. It was really confusing, all i could imagine was a guy sitting in a room with images flashing all around him. Like he was lost and confused. This book had an awesome plot. R. Patrick Gates was a former writing teacher of mine, thats how I got a hold of his books. When he told me what the whole book was about, I didnt even debate whether to get it or not, I knew it would be good, and not very often am I wrong. Definately an awesome buy for horror/thriller fans.
