5.0 out of 5 stars Turnarounds: Brains, Guts & Stamina, Mar 16 2009
By V. Wai - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Turnarounds: Brains, Guts & Stamina (Paperback)
Based on my experiences in China, England and France, this is a book every business owner and CEO should find time to read. The time spent reading the book may mean the difference of getting help at the right time and just as important, getting the right help at the right time. This book encompasses all the different aspects of turnarounds, from identify an organisation that needs a turnaround and the different aspects in carrying out a successful turnaround or a satisfactory exit.

The book carries the combined experience and wisdom of turnaround specialists, venture capitalist, CEO with international experience, occupational psychiatrist, communication consultant, marketing consultant and academic specializing in the turnarounds.
The book uses case studies to illustrate different scenarios and have check lists to help with self assessment and help focusing what needs to be done. For me, the author's approach to turnaround - a stressful undertaking - is a human and balanced approach; very rare in the world of business. The book is a business book first and foremost, however, because it is well written and very readable, it is a book that deserve a wider readership. In the economy that we are in at the moment, this is a very timely book.
