Product Description

Passion and a Pear Tree By Tawny Taylor Book 7 in the Twelve Quickies of Christmas series What does a prudish, self-proclaimed loner do when a nearly naked man jumps out of an oversized Christmas gift, sings a slightly racy version of the Twelve Days of Christmas, and promises to make her deepest desires come true? She goes for it, of course, and has the best twenty-four hours of her life. But at the stroke of midnight, the spell ends, and her happy holidays take an unexpected turn. Alone again, there's only one thing she wishes for: a little Christmas magic to bring back the man who taught her the joy of giving. A Christmas Phantasie By Kit Tunstall Book 8 in the Twelve Quickies of Christmas series After a bad marriage, Jakarta finds it difficult to commit to a future with the man she's now seeing. Teague has grown frustrated with her hesitation, believing she doesn't trust him. On their Christmas trip to Castle Phantasie, things come to a head. Jakarta must prove her trust in Teague by submitting to him, or their relationship will end. She loves him, but what he's asking for might be more than she can give. Snow Angel By Joey W. Hill Book 9 in the Twelve Quickies of Christmas series In her misspent youth, Constance used sex as a shallow substitute for the intimacy and love she craved. Fifteen years later, she whispers her deepest wish into Santa's ear at a Christmas benefit, only to discover he is someone who was part of that unfortunate and embarrassing time of her life. Mortified, she plans an early exit from the party, but Santa has different ideas. Sam Coble always wanted to get to know the girl behind the reputation, and now that she is an accomplished, independent woman, that determination spurs him to action. Constance is going to discover this particular Santa has a soft spot for naughty girls. He plans to give her everything she ever put on a Christmas list...and then some. Hot For Santa By Lacey Alexander Book 10 in the Twelve Quickies Of Christmas series Amy Finnegan has been attracted to Cole Bradshaw for years, but when he dons a Santa suit at the local mall and asks her to be his elf, her attraction turns into full blown lust. Yet when the entire holiday season passes with no response to her flirtations, (leaving the lacy undies she's been wearing beneath her elf dress untouched), Amy resolves to give up the chase. Cole's Christmas Eve invitation, (a thrilling night of eggnog and movies), is the wake up call Amy needs to get over her crush. Little does she know that Cole has planned a seduction, (complete with erotic Christmas gifts), that will turn her into his willing holiday slave. Before the night is over, the sexy man wearing nothing but a Santa hat will prove to Amy that it's more rewarding to be naughty than nice. Elf Song By Samantha Winston Book 11 in the Twelve Quickies Of Christmas Series Though he is in great demand at the court, Branagh, the Nutcracker Prince, has sought no mate and found no one to fill his needs. Melflouise Fairnight, once an archer in the elf militia, now a kitchen maid in the palace of the Sugar Plum Fairy wanted only to catch a glimpse of the secretive Nutcracker Prince. She never dreamed he'd desire her, or that his loving could free the elf song she'd kept caged since her husband's death. Their unexpected passion forces Branagh to make a terrible choice, between his kingdom and his woman. Christmas Angel By Lisa Marie Rice Book 12 in the Twelve Quickies of Christmas series Nicole Caron lost the love of her life on Christmas Eve. Now only the Christmas Angel can help her.

WHO is Lisa Marie Rice?

WHAT can we do to assist her in writing as many books as quickly as possible?

WHEN will her next book come out?

WHERE did Ellora's Cave find this awesome author?

WHY would anyone believe 26 pages is a sufficient length to describe a fully fleshed out romantic couple?

HOW did Ms. Rice author such a beautiful romance that can take you from the depths of despair Nicole feels at the loss of her lover to a sad smile as she relives their love affair? All in 26 pages! I don't know of anyone else who's ever created so much on such a small canvas.

"Christmas Angel" the last story in the "12 Quickies of Christmas Volume 2," will not leave the reader with a bitter aftertaste as so many anthologies do. The dreaded question "Was that it?" hangs on the tip of my tongue all too often after I finish one, but not here.

Yes, yes, there are 5 other stories in this book and I'm sure those authors gave it their best shot. But let's not kid ourselves here: "Christmas Angel" is the only real reason to buy this book.

"Hot for Santa" by Lacey Alexander has some cute, sexy scenes. "A Christmas Phantasie" by Kit Tunstall is by turns weird, frightening and unrealistic (yep, put me right in the holiday spirit! :) "Passion and a Pear Tree" by Tawny Taylor might cause that previously-mentioned bitter aftertaste. "Snow Angel" by Joey Hill has some good moments. The other story is a twist on "The Nutcracker Suite" and is both odd and sexy.

Lisa Marie Rice has been compared to Linda Howard, Shannon McKenna and Suzanne Brockmann. Buy this book and if you haven't already experienced Ms. Rice's other books, try: "Midnight Man," "Midnight Run," "Midnight Angel," "Woman on the Run," and "Port of Paradise." You'll be hooked, just like the rest of us.

The only thing worth reading was the Lisa Marie Rice short story and it is not her best work. This book was painful. Save your money.

Christmas Angel by Lisa Marie Rice ~ 4.5 stars.

For what this story was, I really liked it. I liked it A LOT better than her contribution in the Secrets: Volume 9 edition. While it was pretty hot and pretty emotional, this was waaay too short. Only 33 pages. I wish it could have been longer. And since I'm wishing, I wish it could have had more time spent with the hero and heroine together.

I'm so sad. I have no more Lisa Marie Rice books left to read. I guess I could read the Elizabeth Jennings books I have of hers. This woman needs to stop lazing around the Italian Riviera and get to writing!!!

Snow Angel by Joey W. Hill ~ 4 stars

First off. I love Joey W. Hill. Her Nature of Desire series can do no wrong with me. This story was shorter than LMR's but it seemed weightier and was much kinkier. This little story has some beautifully described bondage and some playful uses of Christmas ornaments.

Hot For Santa by Lacey Alexander ~ 1 star

Did not like this one. It was boring and cliche. The presents reminded me of gifts you would find in the 'naughty' section of Spencers and the fact that the dude was packing nine or ten inches had me rolling my eyes. It was a shame that I didn't like this story. I loved her last Christmas story, Unwrapped, but this was was too silly for my tastes.

Passion in the Pear Tear by Tawny Taylor ~ 1 star

I haven't read a Tawny Taylor book since Dark Master. Now I remember why.
