Book Description

Feb. 1 2011 Fbi Thriller
For the first time: the FBI thrillers Riptide and Hemlock Bay together in one volume.

Catherine Coulter's FBI series "twists at every turn" (San Diego Union-Tribune). In two of her most gripping books-Riptide and Hemlock Bay- FBI agents Dillon Savich and Lacey Sherlock face dangerous threats in both their professional and personal lives.

In Riptide, trouble follows an intrepid reporter to the quiet coastal Maine community, and Savich and Sherlock must face down a KGB agent to find the truth.

In Hemlock Bay, the two travel to Maryland to take down the satanic child-killing Tuttle twins.

3.0 out of 5 stars WARNING - Reprint Feb. 3 2011
By H. Dion
Be advised that this is a reprint, combining Riptide and Hemlock Bay. Those are two good novels but you may already own them, since they were published ten years ago. If you don't own them, at that price, it's a good deal and a good read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Watch out fans-a re-release of two previous books! Feb. 1 2011
By Faye L. Bowring - Published on
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I really like Catherine Coulter and was so excited that she had a new book out that I didn't read the description carefully enough. I got a paperback that is a re-release of Riptide and Hemlock Bay in one book. Since it is my error, to pay for return shipping cost half of refund is not worth the hassle. So, as an avid fan of books, I will pass it forward and hopefully learn from my mistake. My one-star rating is not on her books but on falling for the title of TWICE DEAD as a new book rather than a release of two books published in 2000 and 2001.20

August 2011 UPDATE

Irregardless of MY MISTAKE in ordering Twice Dead because rather than read the full book description, I ran to my book shelf loaded with every Catherine Coulter book she has published and compared the book titles I own with the new release title of "Twice Dead",I am a fan of Catherine Coulter and a big fan and supporter of and wouldn't think for a second of boycotting either one or even suggesting it! To me, it is rather amusing that some reviewers and commenters have chosen to let my review upset them so. Thus, I have offered an explanation of my original review and changed the original rating to 5 stars because it was MY MISTAKE and although I wanted to warn others, her books Riptide and Hemlock Bay rate 5 stars as do almost all of her books.

Fellow Reviewers...I am 70 years old and if the worst mistake I make for the remainder of my life is to order a new release of books I have already read and own...then I am one fortunate old gal! Cheers to one and all

1.0 out of 5 stars not again Re-Release Becareful Jan. 31 2011
By Wendie - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
I am so upset about authors tiring to get more money for people not knowing that it is the same book again. There should be something that they have to put on the book in bold letters re-release. I read both these books before I got my kindle. Takes a lot for the waste of money.

1.0 out of 5 stars Previously read . . . Dec 4 2011

both books contained in this volume, enjoyed them as much as any other Catherine Coulter book. Here's the big BUT. But I object most strenuously to paying $10 for an electronic edition that costs the publisher, who (according to Amazon above) set that price, essentially nothing. Perhaps the web site of a very large corporation is not exactly the correct place for this comment, but this is yet another example of corporations taking advantage of individual people, and - this time, at least - I ain't playing that particular game. Nope. I will go dig out my old copies, or borrow them from the library. While I am all in favor of authors being paid for their work, I am NOT in favor of large companies - publishers, in this case - making that much additional profit from an electronic format. Then again, when I go back to Baen Books, there will be FREE electronic books available that I have not yet read. That's a double bonus, as far as I can see. New book, free. And a double whammy for Berkeley. No, I have no objection to paying for a book; but paying $10 for an electronic book is a bit steep for my circumstances.

I want to thank all the people who were fooled by the publishers and took the time to write about it, so that I didn't make the same mistake.
