There are a couple of classics in here but not the ones that I thought would be in it.Most are boring and basically crap. Must have been a previous best of collection with all the real good ones. Unless your a diehard fan[ of course if you are you've got the entire series]this thing is not worth the money.And what'swith the tin can it comes in? Cheap money maker for somebody.

"Sight, Sound, and Mind"...Good Quality Set

This "Twilight Zone" tin box set certainly is missing some key episodes, but not a legitimate reason to rate this product one or two stars. The transfers are remastered and brilliant, there's nineteen good solid episodes in this five disc set, each disc is placed securely in a thin plastic cover with a Twilight Zone designed tin box. In all actuality what you're getting here is the first five volumes that were previously released in 2001, these episodes were not specially chosen as favorites, they're already classics. One problem is that most of you may probably own all five seasons, for those of you not wanting to spend the dollars for the high priced full collection, this set is perfect for a small glance of entering another dimension, even though it is missing "To Serve Man" a.k.a. "The Menu", "Eye Of The Beholder", - can be found on volumes 8 & 43 for three dollars plus shipping from an Amazon seller, including other episodes for each vol... maybe not all the fans favorites here, but you gotta love "The Invaders", Agnes Moorehead gives a stunningly, intense acting performance without saying one single word. (five stars to raise the rating up for this quality product) edit update 5/23/11: the price for this set recently sky rocketed here at Amazon, why? probably for the collectable tin box version, the newer cardboard packaging of the same title is now available at the reasonable original price.

This set should appeal to those who aren't particularly interested to buy all the seasons (I strongly recommend you do) but just want some of the "classics". Well in a way they won't be disappointed, it's a good selection here, but not exactly the best episode's are present on this set.
No "To Serve Man", "Eye of the Beholder" and "It's a Good Life"? Unfortunately yes, but it looks like there will be a Vol. 2 in the future if the sales on this set are strong.
It's a good set, one for casual fan's that would make a great gift for someone who's perhaps not into the series, but by no means does this set contain all the "fan favorite's".

TZ 40th Anniversary, Deja Vu

It's both amazing and disappointing that this 2010 release is identical to The Twilight Zone: 40th Anniversary Gift Pack from roughly 10 years ago, with the exception of the special features. Of the 19 episodes, less than half are truly classic. If you check out the reviews of the 40th anniversary set, you'll see how many fan favorites are missing. Personally, I would have voted for these additions:
* To Serve Man
* Midnight Sun
* The Eye of the Beholder
* The Hitchhiker
* The Living Doll
* It's a Good Life
Hard to believe that in the past 10 years they couldn't put together a better collection.
