Remember dual-discs? Those extra-thick discs that were a DVD on one side and a CD on the other? That's what this is like, although it lacks the official dual-disc logo and probably doesn't conform to those specs. As a technology, it was a neat idea, but in practice not so much. I'll get into that later, for now I'll give you the complete tracklist:

DVD side - Live at Wacken (2003)
What You Don't Know (Sure Can Hurt You)
The Kids Are Back
Stay Hungry
Destroyer
Like A Knife In The Back
Under The Blade
You Can't Stop Rock 'n' Roll
The Fire Still Burns
Shoot 'Em Down
We're Not Gonna Take It
The Price
Burn In Hell
I Wanna Rock
S.M.F.

CD side - Live...Past & Present
Bad Boy Of Rock 'n' Roll (1980)
Born To Be Wild (1980)
I'll Never Grow Up, Now! (1980)
You Know I Cry (1980)
You Can't Stop Rock 'n' Roll (1982)
What You Don't Know (Sure Can Hurt You (2003)
The Kids Are Back (2003)
Stay Hungry (2003)
Like A Knife in the Back (2003)
I Am, I'm Me (2003)
The Fire Still Burns (2003)

The DVD side is also peppered with documentary footage and interviews with all five Twisted members. The documentary covers the entire history of the band, and sheds light on their acrimonious breakup and triumphant reunion. I found Mark Mendoza's segments particularly interesting as he had the most problems with Dee, and in fact was not on board when TS reunited in 1999 to record "Heroes Are Hard To Find". The live program is, of course, great, well shot, and sounds good.

The CD side is nice as it's not just a soundtrack to the DVD, but a standalone album on its own with 11 tracks total, spanning the early years and 6 from the Wacken show.

Here's a rare find. A CD/DVD combo pack where the CD is equally worth the price of purchase as the DVD. This package, a reissue of a 2005 dual-disc (more on that later) contains an 11 song live album as well as a great DVD concert/documentary. Twisted Sister certainly have risen in the esteem of rock fans since the 80's. Their resiliance has won them over, not to mention their heaviness which was lost on the 80's crowd.

The DVD is peppered with documentary footage and interviews with all five Twisted members.

The CD is nice as it's not just a soundtrack to the DVD, but a standalone album on its own with 11 tracks total, spanning the early years and 6 from the Wacken show. I enjoy this one quite a bit on its own as a live album. Your tracklist:

CD: Live...Past & Present
Bad Boy Of Rock 'n' Roll (1980)
Born To Be Wild (1980)
I'll Never Grow Up, Now! (1980)
You Know I Cry (1980)
You Can't Stop Rock 'n' Roll (1982)
What You Don't Know (Sure Can Hurt You (2003)
The Kids Are Back (2003)
Stay Hungry (2003)
Like A Knife in the Back (2003)
I Am, I'm Me (2003)
The Fire Still Burns (2003)

I wholly recommend this new reissue over the original dual disc.

A dream come true for all SMFs!! Nov. 14 2005
By Johny Bottom - Published on Amazon.com
Format: DVD
This is a really great package. When you need a fix of Twisted Sister, this should do it. All five members from the classic eighties lineup are back. Note I didn't say original members. Jay Jay French is the only original member and Dee Snider was actually Twisted's third singer. But yes, Jay Jay, Mark 'The Animal', Eddie Ojeda, A.J. Pero, and Dee Snider and from the looks of their concert footage they are 'Still Hungry'.

My only real complaint about this video is that the concert is broken up. You go from the stage, to the studio, back to the concert, cut to another interview, then back to old concert footage, then to the new live footage, then back to the studio for more interviews. Get the idea? You just can't hit 'Play Concert' and watch a concert. It's all broken up. I wish Twisted had done what Anthrax did with their new DVD. You can play the concert, or go to 'Bonus Material' to see the interviews.

As for Twisted though, the new live footage is awesome. Mark still attacks his bass rather than play it, Eddie can still whip out a solo as good as ever, and Dee is still Dee. He can still curse at a crowd and get a mob all riled up for the next number.

The interviews were done well also. Jay Jay has a lot to say as does Mark. I think Mark still feels a lot of resentment towards Dee, you can hear it in his voice, but he's playing ball with the rest of the band. Good thing too, because Mark kicks butt on bass and Twisted ain't Twisted without him. The USO footage of Twisted Sister visiting Korea was awesome. Watch Twisted Sister at the DMZ line. North Korean guards are staring at them very intently as Dee asks if he's allowed to take photos of them. See the band ride in a CH-46 helicopter while signing guitars for the crew.

It's great to see Twisted Sister back, there is hope for mankind after all.

TS At Its Finest Jan. 3 2007

What a treat for TS fans. Great video, sound quality, and production. If you want to see a band that hasn't missed a step in 30 years, this is it. Dee Snider is one of the true icons of Rock and Metal. His humor and honest is his trademark that needs to be appreciated even by Tipper Gore. If you loved this, check out the dvd "Heavy Metal - Louder than Life". Keep it metal...Cat

the best show!!!!!!! Nov. 11 2007
By Francisco Villalobos - Published on Amazon.com
Format: DVD
this is just the best live show i've seen, twisted fu***ng sister rocks!!!, the energy they all bring is amazing, considering they are way over 40 years old, yes, in some reviews you read that you can't play the whole show, true, but it feels good to hear the band members' comments and points of view, it doesn't break the flow of the show, and you still get the songs complete, and i have to agree when they say that dee snider is the best frontman in the world, my only regret is not beeing in wacken for that show, i hope i can still catch them live before they finnaly call it quits, a definitley must buy for all the heavy metal/hard rock fans an for all the SMFs, and remember, when you buy it, PLAY IT LOUD MUTHA!!!!!!!! TWISTED FU**ING SISTER RULES,"YOU'RE AN SMF"
