This book and Twitterville, by Shel Israel, are the only two books you need to buy if you wish to understand what Twitter is, why you should use it and how to get it done. Kyle Lacy has done an amazing job detailing the information needed for every business - both large and small - to deploy their marketing efforts by this new medium. Twitter sounds like a toy, but it's an amazingly simple and powerful tool that businesses can use to listen and speak to their customers and prospects.

Businesses who are leveraging Twitter are seeing incredible results - in reduced customer service expenses, reduced marketing expenditures, and increases in brand awareness. Buy this book now and get started!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect companion for small business owners, Feb 14 2010
By Cynthia Hartman "Cindy Hartman" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Twitter Marketing For Dummies (Paperback)
Large companies have a marketing department, and some have even created a specialized social media group. But what about the home-based business owner? Where do you go for marketing and social media collaboration, especially when you're a solo entrepreneur? You can grab Twitter Marketing for Dummies by Kyle Lacy.

You'll feel like you've been invited into a casual conversation rather than reading a dry how-to instructional book. Whether you're new to marketing, Twitter or both - or have been Tweeting for quite some time - you will find expert advice on a wide variety of topics. In addition to learning what to do and how to do it, you'll also learn what pitfalls to avoid. Case studies help drive these points home to you.

So whether you're a small company and you wear the marketing hat, you're the business owner or even a solo-preneur, you're not alone with this book guiding you through the social media journey.

1.0 out of 5 stars great content, terrible presentation on ipad version, Jan 21 2012
By red star - Published on Amazon.com
I downloaded the book on ipad and eagerly read it as I am keen to start twittering. I am three-quarters way through and I am highly frustrated. The content is great as the author provides lots of useful information in an interesting way; he makes it seem simple. His passion for twitter comes trough and is contagious. BUT the presentation is terrible. On the ipad version, the figures and tables are referred to but not shown - totally missing, hyperlinks do not work, and chapters run into one another. I have authored ebooks and I appreciate the work involved in getting the book to present correctly for downloads. In this case, the publisher shamefully published it online without wihout bothering to check if it works. I respectfully urge Wiley put up a new version quickly. Until that is done, do not download this book.
