"A past recipient of the U.S. Coast Guard Distinguished Public Service Award, he lives in Sequim, Washington.

A great read on a forgotten subject Oct. 12 2013

Like most books by Mr. Noble this was well researched and written. Mr. Noble takes a non-political approach to the subject matter and catalogs the problem and how the Coast Guard has worked to address it. It has found a home on my desk and is a reference at times in foreign diplomacy discussions.
