Travis' debut single "U16 Girls" is lyrically and musically more rock and roll than anything they've put out in the last year, and from the opening chords of the song you could tell that this is a band that would somehow achieve greatness. The A-side tells of troubles of shagging underage girls out on the road, while the standout b-side "Good Time Girls" shows singer/lyricist Fran Healy's love of a good time and girls who just wanna have fun... "good time girls, having a good time..." maybe not the most developed of Mr. Ivor Novello songwriter of the year's lyrics, but you know there's something there. If you like the Good Feeling album, this single is a must. Travis at their most rock and roll. The first single by a happy-go-lucky inspired rock outfit. Get it now, but take Fran's advice... "make sure that she's old enough before you blow your mind..."
