I prefer this game over the wii fit because it is one flow of workouts and the coach spares me the oftentimes ridiculous comments of its counterpart. This one is really motivating and gets your heart going. The option to chose what kind of workout you prefer (cardio, upper body, yoga...) is a great feature. Especially if you still suffer from muscle ache from the last session. Still, it always insists on doing a proper warm-up. For beginners, or folks like me who had a longer break, the exercises are quite demanding but you have the option to chose a shorter workout. It starts with 15 minutes and you can always do the exercises to the best of your abilities or take a breather ahead of time if you can't help it. The initial assessment is very comprehensive and you can basically measure every cm of your body if you want to. A feature to switch to the metric system would have been nice for people like me who need a calculator to convert "feet" (yes, stinky) to cm and pounds to kg.

I have been working out with My Fitness Coach for 3 months 4 to 5 times per week for 45 minutes and I love it. I feel fantastic! I am definitely getting results. I love that every workout is different and that new exercises are added with each time I use it. I also have the Wii Active but I find the workouts on that title very difficult on the knees and don't like having to hold the remotes the whole time.Even when I don't feel up to it, I'll do 15 or 30 minutes of Yoga and feel fabulous afterward. Here is what I wish could be fixed in the next version of this title: - It would be nice to have the option to remove an exercise completely from the rotation. There are some exercises that I find too easy or require too much space to do properly. I just substitute those with something else... - I would like to have the option of doing the assessment when I chose to. I often do 30 minutes of cardio followed by 15 minutes of yoga or upper body work. But if my 10th workout is the cardio, I can't continue until I go through the assessment. Annoying! - I would like to have alternatives for making some exercises easier or harder (some are way too easy). - It would be great if we could see the full list of exercises and make our own workouts. - Feedback buttons need to be bigger. Also, after a while, I wish the game would stop asking me how that felt and just remind me to press the - button to indicate if the workout is too easy or too hard.

My wife and I have been using this program for a little over a month and are happy with the results, both in how we look and feel. We like being able to track our measurements, though if you don't write them down somewhere from week to week you'll see the bars on the graph get lower without knowing what the numbers are. A lot of the cardio in this program involves jumping and/or fancy footwork which is difficult if you have an injury, make sure you modify accordingly. For example, I have a knee injury so I swap out the jumping jacks for heel jacks. The biggest problem we've had is when you get asked how challenging a part of the routine was, because the wiimote sometimes lacks sensitivity it's possible to hit the wrong answer (i.e. "That was easy" instead of "I was working hard"). Sometimes we have to add weights where they're not required to make the workout a little more challenging. You'll be able to recognize the moves and follow along without any trouble but some of the trainer's movements look unnatural, my wife doesn't notice but it bugs me sometimes. If you asked me whether I'd recommend this program I'd say yes. It's a lot less intense than a workout video and still gives good results.
