Product Description

From the Manufacturer

You have the right to spy, steal, destroy, and assassinate, to ensure that American freedoms are protected. If captured, the U.S. government will disavow any knowledge of your existence.

You are Sam Fisher.

You are a Splinter Cell.

When two CIA agents mysteriously vanish in the former Soviet republic of Georgia, the NSA's secret sub-agency, Third Echelon, deploys Sam Fisher--its most capable Splinter Cell operative--to recover them. Fisher soon uncovers a deeper conspiracy: a plot that threatens to destabilize world order and spark nuclear conflict.

Fisher, like all Third Echelon Splinter Cells, is granted use of the Fifth Freedom--unprecedented latitude to safeguard America's security by any means necessary. Acting alone, he uses terrorists' own tactics against them. Should he fall to enemy hands, the U.S. government will disavow any knowledge of his existence.

No more time for negotiations and diplomacy. The time for decisive action has come. Strike from the darkness… Fade away. You are Sam Fisher. You are a Splinter Cell.

Game Features

  • Comprehensive stealth techniques and action moves including split jumps, zip-lining, rappelling and using human shields make gameplay creative and fun.
  • Experimental intelligence gadgets based on real-life technologies such as night vision/thermal goggles, prototype weapons, non-lethal weapons, and surveillance gear give Fisher the edge against his enemies.
  • Hide in the shadows thanks to an original depth management system that simulates 3D environments.
  • Go head to head against enemies in three gameplay moments available only available on the Game Boy Advance

    The Full Splinter Cell Experience

  • Enjoy the original story from the award-winning Xbox version, featuring characters and locations endorsed by famous author Tom Clancy, and inspired by his realistic world of terrorism and espionage
  • Carry out eleven missions--featuring one training mission and one special mission--through eight realistic environments based on those from the Xbox version.

  • Link to Nintendo GameCube to Access Exclusive Content and Features!
Once connected to the GameCube, the Game Boy Advance can function as a remote extension for Sam's OPSAT (allowing Sam to view his surroundings on a radar-like mini-map) and providing him remote control of computers and weapons, including the wall mine.
  • Linked-play provides you with a brand new weapon exclusive to the GameCube--the sticky bomb!
  • Playing through the GameCube version will unlock five exclusive levels on the Game Boy Advance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Game, but don't be fooled....., May 1 2003

This review is from: Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell (Video Game)
This is a one of the few games that can be made for xbox, gamecube, PS2, and PC, and is still awesome on GBA! The grapics aren't as good, but I really can't blame Ubi for that. On all of the other versions of Splinter Cell, the graphics are 3-D. This game would be hard to play with 3-D graphics for GBA. The missions are slightly different from what I have been told.

If you are a person who gats a game and expects to be good at it the first time you play it, this is NOT the game for you!

Splinter Cell takes alot of time to learn. The entire game is about being able to be stealthy. You don't want to use up all of your amunition. That is why there are dark spots you can hide in to jump out and use your fighting skills to knock your enemy out.

Pros

1.Same basic objective to the game.
2.Lots of fun to sneek around and knock out people.
3.Lots of cool moves that you can use on Sam Fisher.

Cons

1.Can't get all of the old weapons
2.Very difficult!
3.Frustrating to have to play the missions all over again if you lose!

The A.I. in this game is pretty good.
The problem with it is, your enemy can react to you to fast for you do do something. If you are move to fast you get detected, if you move to slow you get detected.
One of the most frustrating things of this game is the fact that if you get deteced, the enemy will, A. Shoot, or Stun you. B. Will flip the alams and you you have about 6 sec. to find the switch before the mission is over.

All in all, I found this game to be challenging but rewarding if you win.
